We actually work as we supervise your project... that’s how we were trained.  Also, by being ‘imbedded’ in the project, the  construction goes much more smoothly.  Less time is spent handing things off to workers who you’ve never met.  SkyTop Builders is personally involved in the work. Each team is meticulously outfitted with the correct tools... just like old school craftsmen.  So, instead of acting like a distant broker that can’t evaluate the details of each sub-trade because they don’t have the wisdom, we’re there from foundation through finish.  If a builder is merely a broker with little hands-on training, what do you really need them for?

Some people say: ‘Yea, they’re good... they have good tools.  It’s easier to do a good job that way.’  Yet it’s been our experience that if you put a good tool in the hands of a fool, they do foolish things.  Just imagine an untrained fool with bad tools.... on your dream project. Having a neat outfitting of tools is an easy acid test to flesh out a builder... but go deeper!

  • Efficiency - having done things before, and being outfitted accordingly, makes the job go more quickly.  This precision translates into predicable timeframes and reduces the likelihood of cost overruns. A job that’s sloppy during construction is rarely excellent.... ever!
  • Cleanliness - working in construction does not offer the tradesperson a license to be sloppy... contrary to the nonsense you see on popular TV shows.  As noted above, once the jobsite gets messy, the wheels seem to fly off.  We have systems in place to prevent this from happening that address both quality and safety.
  • Professionalism - do you want a job estimate printed on a napkin or one that comes with details and invoices?  The latter helps to manage the customer’s expectations.
